Escala Humana
The vineyards are located in El Zampal, a sub region of Tupungato in the Uco Valley where the soils are comprised of clay, loam and sand. At an altitude of around 1200 meters above sea level, the natural vegetation begins to change and the soil has a lower organic content. The sunlight is strong, and the nights are cold giving an intensity of phenolics and tannins while retaining the grapes’ natural acidity. Germán looks for lower alcohol and freshness. He uses concrete and old oak to get refined elegance and a lot of fragrance. All wines are fermented with natural yeasts and bottled unrefined and unfiltered with no additives of any sort, including sulfites. “Our mission is sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention in the winery, seeking authenticity and transparency in each of our wines.” While building their own winery; destined to open in 2025, the Masera family make their wines at Matias Michelini’s Passionate Winery.

Labels
The Livverá line has been created to have the objective of rescuing and
refounding the ancestral and patrimonial vineyards
of the varieties planted by the immigrants who bet
on Uco Valley. All of them are a fundamental
part of the diversity and richness of our terroir.
The Credo line is the declaration of faith that comes from
an intimate and sensitive look at the terroir. They
are wines in which they concede their commitment
to the soil, which come to show the identity of their
place through its textures, its layers and its complex
austerity. Varietals that inspired them the love for there land,
in which they believe that aging and longevity will
give them finesse and balance.
