Riccitelli

The largest vineyards are located in Las Compuertas and are nearly 100 years old. The soils consist mostly of sands and clay. This area is located at 1000 meters above sea level and is the perfect for growing Malbec.   In Gualtallary Matias has 20 hectares of vineyards, located between 1400 and 1500 meters above sea level.   The altitude results in an extreme combination of temperature, sunlight and humidity. This delivers wines with great intensity and nervous tension.   Matias is also active in La Carrera in Valle de Uco. In this unique valley the soils is composed of organic material and gravel. The vineyards grow at 1600 meters, making for slowly ripening grapes and a natural  acidity balance.
